FAQs

1.  Do volunteers stay in my home during childcare sessions?
Yes, volunteers remain in your home at all times to ensure the safety of both your children and the volunteer.

2.  Are volunteers background checked?
Yes, every volunteer completes a thorough background check before participating.

3.  Who are the volunteers?
Many of our volunteers are parents themselves and offer care with the warmth and attentiveness of a trusted family member or friend.

4.  Am I required to stay in the home during childcare sessions?

Yes, caregivers must remain in the home for the full 90-minute session.

5.  What will volunteers do with my child?
Volunteers engage in gentle, age-appropriate play, read books, and offer caring interaction to keep your little one engaged.

6.  How long is each childcare session?
Sessions are 90 minutes long—just enough time to recharge, rest, or catch up on small tasks.

7.  Is this a professional childcare service?
No, our childcare support isn’t a professional service. It’s more like the helping hand of a trusted friend or family member—here to give you a short break while your child is safely cared for.

8.  Do I need to prepare anything or share routines?
No special setup is needed. Volunteers use what you already have and follow your lead—so we encourage you to share any routines, snack preferences, nap schedules, or comfort tips that help your child feel at ease.

9.  Are there things volunteers don’t do?
Yes. Volunteers do not bathe children or administer medicine.  They are there to support, not replace, a caregiver’s full role.

10.  Is this a professional childcare service?
No. This is not professional or licensed childcare. It’s a moment of support from a trusted volunteer—like having a helpful friend or family member lend a hand while you take a short break.

11. Can I use cameras or baby monitor during the session?
Yes. We encourage the use of baby monitors or cameras for your comfort and peace of mind.

12.  How do I sign up for a childcare session?
Just reach out to us, and we’ll help match you with a eager, background-checked volunteer who’s ready to support you.

13.  Can I combine multiple services in one session?
Each service is unique and designed to be provided separately to ensure focused, quality support.

14. Can I schedule weekly or regular support?

Time-In Moms is here for the moments you need it most—not for ongoing or routine care. Our support is designed to offer short-term relief during especially overwhelming or transitional times. Think of it as a caring hand during life’s heavier seasons, not a weekly service.

15.  Is there a charge for childcare sessions?

Time-In Moms operates on a pay-it-forward philosophy: every session is offered at no cost to moms, made possible by those who give back—through donations or volunteer time—so another mom can experience the same care. Each session costs about $25 to provide, and when a mom can give that amount or more, she ensures the next mom receives the same support. Whether she contributes financially or not, every mom is always welcomed with open arms, because every mother deserves a break, a helping hand, and a moment to feel truly seen."
